Get Your Ride Ready for Winter

Winter is just around the corner, and it's only going to get colder. It's important to make sure your Ford is ready for the colder temperatures. If you drive a Ford Explorer, Ford Escape, Ford F-150, or any other Ford model, here are just a few things you can do to make sure you're prepared.

  • Put on your winter tires: Your tires are made out of rubber, and rubber shrinks and hardens when it gets too cold. Summer tires are perfect for warm weather, but they can be downright unsafe in the winter. Winter tires are engineered to be extra soft and malleable, and they'll give you optimum traction in the colder months.
  • Get your brakes checked: It is always important to have properly-working brakes, and that's especially true when the roads get icy. It's already hard enough to control your vehicle in winter conditions, and faulty brakes will make it even worse.
  • Check your battery: Cold weather makes it harder for your car's battery to work. The last thing you want is to get stuck in the snow, unable to start your car, so make sure that your battery is in working order.
